Lemon Parade in the Park Community organizations, local businesses, clubs, teams, marching bands, and even families to participate in the Lemon Parade, led by the newly crowned Lemon King & Queen in their Royal Lemon Carriage during the Midwest Zest Fest. Kids and adults are welcome. You can walk, pedal or push a small float, walk, march or even dance. We are looking for creative and wacky entries and costumes with a lemon-theme to join our conga-line style Parade in the Park. This is a parade with a twist. Lemon themed entries or not, we are looking for people that have a zest for life. We hope you will join the fun. Call the Highland Chamber of Commerce at 923-3666 if you have any questions. Download an Entry Form. ![]() No motorcycles, mopeds or dirt bikes, please. Bikes, scooters and skateboards, skates and pets are not allowed at the Midwest Zest Fest unless part of the entertainment. Please check to see if your entries qualifies. Some motorized vehicles may be allowed at the discretion of the Midwest Zest Fest committee. Line up will start promptly at 6:00 pm at the Main Square Park Gazebo and will start immediately after the Lemon King & Queen Crowning Ceremony. REMEMBER, NO CANDY OR LEMONS SHOULD BE THROWN into the crowd! In order to avoid injuries, people may hand out candy. At the end of the parade, entries will end up at the back (west) end of the gazebo. The Highland Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse/reject any entry determined to be inappropriate for the festival by the Midwest Zest Fest or parade committee.
